  • Free
  • Simple
  • People are used to it
  • You can connect easily with others

Cons

  • If they go out of business or are no longer fashionable you need to rebuild your relationships and site info
  • Not a super branded solution
  • Doesn't look very professional
  • Usually only allows for one page
  • Advertising for competitors is sometimes featured
  • In the end, the company who runs it has control over how it looks and works (or doesn't)
  • Can't sell products directly on the site.
